Frida Kahlo Museum, Coyoacan & Xochimilco

The historical secrets of Mexico City are waiting for you

1. Frida Kahlo Museum, Coyoacan & Xochimilco

Morning is dedicated to visit one of the most popular museums in Mexico City, the Frida Kahlo or “Casa Azul” (Blue House) Museum in Coyoacán. Frida was an artist and renowned woman of the last century. She was Diego Rivera´s wife, one of Mexico’s top muralists whose works of art are still present around the world. Coyoacán is one of the most well-preserved colonial neighborhoods of Mexico City, where you will enjoy the market and main buildings around the “Plaza de los Coyotes”. Moving on to Xochimilco, known as the “floating gardens” for its extended series of canals. This area has kept its ancient traditions, despite being part of Mexico City. Enjoy the folklore of Xochimilco, on the colorful trajineras between chinampas (small “floating” islands, covered with flowers and gardens).
